EDITORIAL
Welcome to the fourth issue of Cyberpunk Now! covering the months January
through to March 1995. We have increased our popularity somewhat since the
last issue with two nice reviews in Amiga User International and also last
month in CU Amiga (again - thanks CU!). This has brought us even more
contacts and submissions and makes us feel we are making some small
contribution in establishing the Amiga as the leading machine in the ever
enlarging field of CYBERNETIKA (kust made that word up - sounds good though
don't it?).....
Keep sending in the pics, articles and anims....plus your comments, bad, good
and even ugly...it's all grist to the mill!
I'm typing this editorial after just returning from seeing TIMECOP and got a
strange feeling when I saw the "futuristic" date it was set in - 2004 -
that's already just on the doorstep. I suppose the comic 2000AD will become
3000AD and most of Britain will fall drunk into Trafalgar Square fountains
whilst I'm sat here on my Amiga 6500 typing the editorial for Cyberpunk 101?
Who knows?
....on on the subject of the Amiga 6500 what is happening? Aren'tcha fed up
of it all? The nail-biting uncertainty. Will CIE win? Will Commodore UK win?
Will Boris Yeltsin win? All we ask is that the Amiga continues whoever owns
the Amiga - even Yeltsin will contnue to mass produce it and it doesn't
become a User Group machine - as the Atari ST has over here and the Amiga
already has in the USA. I was talking to a friend from Origin Software in
Texas the other day and of course mentioned the Amiga - he says they haven't
got one in the whole of Origin so he cannot even look at our precious
diskzine.....another Amiganaut lost in the crazy mixed up world of the PC
power.....maybe next issue we'll all know the answer.....it might even be
42!
